This is the coffee harvest season — and at HuyEco, we offer a unique half-day tour designed for travelers who want to understand the full story behind sustainable coffee and local livelihoods.
It’s a deep dive into how coffee is grown, harvested, processed, and roasted — and how it connects to the land, the people, and the culture of Da Lat.

🕖 7:00 AM — Pickup & Optional Morning Brew
We’ll pick you up from your hotel at 7:00 AM.
Solo travelers ride with us by motorbike. Groups of 2–6 guests travel by car, and larger groups by van.
If you’d like to enjoy a morning coffee with a view, you’re welcome to visit our café and coffee exhibition before 7:00 AM.
We serve hand-brewed coffee using Japanese techniques — a peaceful way to start the day.
Here you can sample some of our coffees, and then you can choose to visit our Arabica or Robusta farm according to your preference.
This farm is cultivated with biodiversity and zero chemicals, showcasing our commitment to sustainable Robusta production.
Option 1: Robusta Farm
🌳 8:00 AM —Robusta Forest-Garden Farm
Our first stop is a Robusta farm, located 20 km from Da Lat at 1,000 meters elevation — ideal for Robusta cultivation.
Here, you’ll learn about our forest-garden approach:
- No herbicides or pesticides
- Biodiversity with crops like pineapple, macadamia, avocado, banana, chili
- Free-range chickens, butterflies, and bees coexisting naturally
We’ll explain why 99% of neighboring farms don’t follow this path — and why we believe sustainable farming is the future.
This biodiversity-based approach reflects our commitment to chemical-free farming and ecological balance.
Option 2: Arabica Farm
🍒 8:00 AM — Arabica Highland Farm
If we choose Arabica farm, it is about 15 km from the city.
After a short walk, you’ll arrive at the harvest site — where you can pick ripe Arabica cherries directly from the tree (November–December).
This farm is run in partnership with ethnic minority farmers.
We use organic fertilizers, avoid chemical herbicides, and focus on soil regeneration and forest protection.
You’ll learn why we insist on 100% ripe cherry picking — and why most farms don’t, due to cost and time constraints.
This harvest experience is part of our coffee tour, offering insight into ethical farming and the importance of picking only ripe fruit.
🧵 9:30 AM — Local Silk Weaving Workshop
Next, we visit a traditional silk weaving workshop — a second livelihood for many coffee farmers.
Our guide, a local expert with 8+ years of experience, will walk you through the entire process:
From silkworm care to handwoven fabric.
It’s a beautiful example of how agriculture and culture intertwine.
Guests visit this local workshop during our coffee tour to explore how farming and craft coexist in rural Vietnam.
🔥 11:30 AM — Post-Harvest Processing & Tasting
Back at HuyEco Café, you’ll participate in the post-harvest process:
- Sorting and drying
- Roasting your own batch
- Tasting coffee from the farms you just visited
This is where the journey comes full circle — from soil to cup.
Together, we cultivate Arabica with care, protect the forest, and preserve local culture.
